You leave Fundão behind as the town is still waking up. The streets get narrower, then turn into a lane, and the first climb isn’t long in coming.
The day is of average difficulty, but around seven hours is a long time on your feet. It keeps climbing and descending until you reach almost 700 metres. After that, it drops away again. So plan in some breaks and walk at your own pace.
Peraboa is small, and a place to sleep isn’t a given. Sort it out in advance, or choose a place earlier or further on. Then you walk into the village, rucksack off, shoes off.
