This day asks very little of you. The stage is short and almost flat, so you can take it at your own pace. You leave Tui behind you, the old border town above the Miño, and soon find yourself on forest paths and among small villages. It’s a little over four hours of walking, with plenty of greenery and no need to hurry.
The last stretch is less attractive. Just before O Porriño you pass industrial estates and walk on tarmac. Grit your teeth for a moment, but it doesn’t last long. O Porriño is known for its granite. You arrive early enough to have the afternoon to yourself. Make good use of that time, because a short day like this doesn’t come along often.
