First the sea, then a beach, then the sea again. From Baiona you follow the coast along promenades and strips of sand, with the Atlantic Ocean at your side almost all the way. Now and then the path turns inland, between houses and trees, and you climb briefly away from the water.
The climbs are short, but they add up. In total you will be on your feet for more than 7 hours. Towards the end the scenery changes: the calm of the coast gives way to traffic, blocks of flats and a large port. Vigo is a proper city, and you enter it through the outskirts. The last few kilometres are mostly pavement and tarmac. So take your long break at the beaches, before the city begins.
