Two routes meet at Pontevedra. From here you follow the same way as the Caminho Português Central, with the same albergues. After the days along the coast, it takes a little getting used to: there are more pilgrims around you, and that makes the path more sociable.
The stage itself is a kind one. You’ll walk for a good five hours through rolling Galician countryside, with no tough climbs. You can start at a leisurely pace and take a long coffee stop along the way. Warm water awaits you in Caldas de Reis: the village owes its name to its hot springs. Just the thing for tired feet. Take your time, as this day asks little of you.
