This day asks little of your legs, but something of your mind. It’s an easy stage of around 6 hours, with a few gentle rises and mostly open country. Just after Estella you pass the monastery of Irache. After that, the fields and vineyards of Navarra roll past you.
There’s little shade, so in summer you’ll feel the sun. The path sometimes seems to lead nowhere. That’s exactly its charm: you walk, you think, you think about nothing for a while.
