Spain

Choose your way to Santiago, from mountain pass to Atlantic coast.

Spain is the land of the Camino. Almost every route ends here, at the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Some start in the Pyrenees, others follow the coast or come all the way up from the south.

The Camino Francés is the best known: well over 770 kilometres, with the most pilgrims and the most encounters. The Camino del Norte runs along the sea, constantly climbing and descending. At around 300 kilometres, the Primitivo is shorter, but hillier and quieter. The Vía de la Plata starts in Sevilla and is long, quiet and hot. The Aragonés joins the Francés at Puente la Reina. The Inglés and the Variante Espiritual are short routes through Galicia, handy if you only have a few days.
