You leave Colombres past the stately houses of the indianos, the Spaniards who made their fortunes in the Americas and then came home. After that, the Camino takes you along quiet paths and through small villages. Everything is green and the sea is never far away.
It’s an easy day. There are a few short climbs, but nothing that will knock you out of your rhythm. You descend more than you climb in the end, so it’s mostly your knees that will notice. At around six hours of walking, you’ll arrive in plenty of time. You enter Llanes via the harbour and the old town. Take your time over a drink on a terrace. An easy day is allowed once in a while.
