The path stretches dead straight ahead of you, between fields and beneath an enormous sky. Nothing holds you back, nothing distracts you. Just your own footsteps on the sand.
This is one of the quietest days on the Vía de la Plata. There is hardly any climbing and just as little descending, so your legs can enjoy a good stretch. The only thing that gnaws at you is the monotony and, once the sun comes out, the lack of shelter. Treat yourself to a break in one of the villages along the way. After more than 5 hours of walking you arrive in La Bañeza, a proper town where you can eat in peace and do your laundry. Tomorrow is the final stage, so take it easy today.
