This day is all about taking it easy. You leave Xinzo de Limia behind and the landscape is open and wide. There’s little to distract you. You walk on autopilot and let your thoughts wander wherever they like.
Gradually the route drops downhill. You descend more than you climb, so the hard work is over quickly. At just over 5 hours of walking, this is a light stage. Going downhill, you may feel it in your knees.
Allariz comes into view quietly. You walk into the town past old stone houses, close to the river Arnoia. Rucksack off, boots off, and then a leisurely stroll through the narrow streets.
