You’ll soon leave Montamarta behind. A few last houses, then the road heads out into open country. Fields, a wide sky, a path that carries on steadily. The hills are gentle and you almost forget them. It’s an easy day, ideal for finding your rhythm and letting your thoughts wander.
Around six hours of walking is enough to make you feel your feet. In Granja de Moreruela you come to a fork: here you can branch off onto the Camino Sanabrés. Both routes lead to Santiago. First, you walk into the village, boots off, rucksack down. Which way you go can easily wait until tomorrow.
