Baamonde is a quiet village, and arriving there feels just that way. You settle into the public albergue, take your boots off and realise your legs are still doing surprisingly well.
That’s down to the day. From Vilalba you walk through rolling Galician countryside, with more descents than climbs. It goes up and down, but never for long and never steeply. After a little over five hours of walking, you’re there. A light stage, then, especially after the mountains of the past few days. So save some energy for the afternoon: doing a bit of washing, wandering around the village and getting an early night.
