This day calls for patience and a bit of perseverance. You’ll be walking for about seven hours, with climbs and descents that keep coming back. Nothing that will really bring you to your knees, but you will feel it in your legs. An average stage, best started at a gentle pace.
Along the way it grows quiet. Country lanes, small villages, stretches of woodland. You walk at your own pace and have time to think. Something special awaits at the end: in Sobrado you sleep in the Cistercian monastery, where the monks welcome pilgrims. That makes the last few kilometres feel lighter. The green Galician countryside drifts slowly past: meadows, woodland edges and moss-green stone walls along the path.
