Your legs will be content early on today, and your mind is mostly curious. For many pilgrims Sarria is where their Camino begins, so the paths are pleasantly busy. Roughly 110 kilometres to go to Santiago. The day is light, with more descents than climbs. Keep an eye on your knees on the way down.
For about six hours you walk through small woods, along narrow paths and past farmyards. It goes up and down, but nowhere is it really hard going. Towards the end you drop down to the Miño and cross the bridge over the reservoir. Then a flight of steps awaits, leading up into the village. If you glance back, you’ll see the water glittering between the green hills.
