This is a day for patience. Your legs work all day, and your head has to find a pace and hold it. For around nine hours you’ll go up and down over hills, past meadows and through villages that are sometimes eerily quiet. On the highest stretches it can be chilly and windy.
You climb more than 900 metres, but the descending actually takes more out of you. You only feel that in the afternoon, in your knees and toes. Find a rhythm and let the kilometres come.
At the end, O Cádavo appears. You walk into the village, look for the public albergue, put down your rucksack and take off your shoes first.
