This stage is mostly one long descent, with the odd short climb along the way. You lose well over 600 metres in altitude, against a modest ascent. That sounds like a gift, but your knees and toes may disagree.
The pace comes naturally. Don’t let it get too fast, because you’ll be on your feet for almost 7 hours. Walk at a steady rhythm and take the steep sections slowly, even when the slope pulls you downhill. That way you’ll arrive in Pontevea with legs that are still working with you. Tomorrow the final stage to Santiago awaits. A good descent is all about feel: take short steps and don’t force it.
