This day is mostly about stamina. It’s well over 30 kilometres, almost 9 hours of walking. Climbing isn’t the problem, as you descend more than you climb. But all that downhill slowly wears on your knees.
Set a steady pace and build in breaks. This is a day to pace yourself, not to win. At the end, Puente la Reina awaits, with its medieval bridge. This is where your route joins the Camino Francés. For many pilgrims, your last step on the Aragonés is the first of something bigger. Enjoy those final kilometres, you’ve earned them.
