This day is mostly about patience and a steady pace. You’ll be on your feet for almost 6 hours, but the route is easy. It’s a gentle up and then down again, never long and never steep. You won’t climb very high.
From Redondela you walk together with the Caminho Português Central. You follow the same way and the same albergues, so it gets busier and friendlier around you. It’s a lovely day to strike up a conversation.
Pontevedra gradually comes closer. You walk into the city, and if you’re staying the night, there’s a public pilgrim albergue. The centre is lovely to explore on foot. Take your time over those last kilometres, you’ve got nothing to prove today.
