Borres is small and quiet. You put your pack down in the public albergue and notice that your legs still feel quite fresh. That is the beauty of this stage: it is short and is considered easy.
The day begins with a climb out of Tineo. You work your way up to well over 900 metres, where it is open and windy. After that you mostly head downhill, along forest tracks and past pastures. It is a pleasant pace, with plenty of time to look around and chat. By the end you descend more than you climb. Your knees will feel it for a while. When you look back, the green ridges lie one behind the other in the late light, and Tineo is long gone.
