Today the Camino doesn’t ask much of you. It’s an easy stage of just over five hours’ walking, with no sharp climbs. Even so, you’ll notice that you’re going up more than you’re going down. It creeps up on you, especially as the sun gets higher.
This is a day to walk at your own pace. You have time to look around, to chat, or simply to say nothing for a while. The highest point passes without any fuss, and after that the walking is easy. Grimaldo is small and peaceful. You walk into the village, put your rucksack down and have the afternoon to yourself. Wash your clothes, find a chair in the shade, have a beer on a terrace. You don’t need anything more.
