Jaca is easy to leave behind. First come a few streets and traffic lights, then the path winds out of town and everything goes quiet. You’re leaving yesterday’s mountains behind you.
It’s a long day, but not a hard one. There’s little climbing, and you descend more than you ascend. What your legs will notice is the distance: around 25 kilometres, and you’ll feel it towards the end. So feel free to take a few breaks along the way. In Arrés, a public albergue awaits. With almost 7 hours of walking, not counting breaks, plan your departure so that you arrive in the afternoon.
