You’ll be on your feet for a good six hours: this stage is mostly about patience. There’s no brutal climb, but there is a long run of hills that you simply roll along with. You don’t climb much, but you descend a good 600 metres. You’ll feel that in your knees later.
The landscape is Galician as you’ve come to know it: woodland paths, stone walls, small villages and a cloud that always seems to be keeping an eye on you. Santiago gets closer all the time, and that makes the walking feel lighter. In Outeiro you take off your shoes, look back at the hills you’ve just walked and know that tomorrow you walk the final stage.
