Today you’re walking through hill country: woodland, open slopes and little villages half hidden in the greenery. There’s hardly a flat stretch anywhere. The path goes up or down, and after the first few kilometres comes the climb the whole day revolves around: over 400 metres uphill in about 4 kilometres.
You’ll feel it in your calves. If you start out too enthusiastically, you’ll feel it in your mood too. At the top it opens out and you can look back over the hills you’ve just conquered. After that the path drops again, for longer than you expect, and your knees will have something to say about it. You arrive in Feás tired but content. Set off in good time, so you tackle the climb with fresh legs and not in the hottest hours.
