Today your legs won’t grumble, and your mind will happily wander along with you. It’s about five hours, with no big climb looming over you all morning. After the tougher days, the pace can ease off for a while.
The path keeps going up and down, but never for long and never steeply. By the end you’ve descended slightly more than you’ve climbed, and you’ll feel that mostly in your knees. Then Mondoñedo lies ahead of you: a quiet little town with a cathedral. You arrive without any rush and still have the afternoon ahead of you.
Galicia shows its green side here. Meadows, woodland and, now and then, a trail of mist hanging between the hills.
